Two athletes representing Metamora Martial Arts competed in their first-ever tournament on Saturday, July 19, at the Shirk Center on the Illinois Wesleyan University campus in Bloomington.

Both competed in Forms.

Weston took home 2nd place after performing Fukyu Gata Ichi.

Levi won 1st place, also competing with Fukyu Gata Ichi. He was even in the running for the grand championship for his age group.

Our students had a great experience. If you are a martial artist who’s thought about competing in a tournament, I highly recommend keeping an eye on Walker’s Martial Arts for their next event.

Thanks to the families of Weston and Levi for some of these photos.
