Throughout the year, I’ve noticed several students getting picked up late from class.

That’s why, effective immediately, a Late Pickup Supervision Fee will be enforced for karate students who are not picked up on time.

As a reminder, karate class ends at…

  • 6:50 p.m. on Tuesdays
  • 7:30 p.m. on Wednesdays

Parents and guardians are expected to arrive 5 minutes before the end of class to ensure timely dismissal.

Please understand that, like you, I have responsibilities outside of class. I try to be punctual with an on-time dismissal. In the event I go over class time, I will adjust the times of enforcement.

  • Example: If I wind up dismissing at 7:35, the clock starts ticking at 7:36 and I won’t start calling late parents until 7:40.

Payment & Enforcement

Starting as soon as 7:31 p.m., a fee of $3 per minute will be assessed for a late pickup.

Parents will be contacted if a student has not been picked up by 6:55 or 7:35 p.m.

I will communicate what the late pickup fee will be for you via text or email. The fee must be paid before the student may participate in their next class.

Payment must be made in cash or by check. I will not accept PayPal or Venmo for this fee.

If you’re running late because of a true emergency, please let me know ASAP so I can communicate that to my family since I usually have babysitting pickup immediately following class.

This new policy is exists to ensure respect for instructors’ time and to maintain a safe, orderly dismissal process for all students.

PRO TIP: Many of our students have their own phones. Please make sure students have the phone numbers of their parents, grandparents, and siblings in their phones so they can be contacted about a late pickup.
