Our program builds focus, discipline, confidence, physical fitness, and life skills that help students succeed both in and out of the dojo.

Who This Class Is For
- Ages 8+ (kids, teens, adults welcome)
- Students with no previous experience can join any time
- Parents who want their children to gain confidence, fitness, respect, and focus
- Adults with previous martial arts experience who are looking to get practicing again.
What You’ll Learn

Master essential karate techniques (stances, strikes, blocks, kata)

When & Where:
Karate classes meet Tuesday & Wednesday evenings at the Metamora Park District office, located on the historic Metamora Square in Metamora, IL.
Pricing

Monthly tuition is $75 per month, which includes 2 classes per week, 24/7 access to tutorials, and on-site coaching at tournaments for those who wish to compete.

Do I need prior karate experience?
No prior experience is needed! We welcome beginner students.
What age can we start karate?
Students must be at least 8 years old to begin karate class in our dojo. Each karate school starts students at different ages.
Where are classes located?
All classes are located inside the Metamora Parks & Recreation office at 214 E. Partridge Street, just off the historic Metamora town square.
What should we wear?
New students can try out classes in comfortable, athletic clothing. If they decided to stick with the class, we’ll get a uniform with our patches on it for you.
What does your belt ranking system look like?
Our ranking system and curriculum can be found here. We follow recommendations from the International Okinawan Budo-Kai for time in rank, belt colors, and requirements for rank.
