Richard Clear presents Combat Tai Chi in Peoria – August 5-7, 2011

I recently heard about a seminar that will be happening in Peoria this summer. Thanks to Mr. Steve Aldus for passing the information along. You may remember Mr. Aldus here at Metamora Martial Arts for explaining why he teaches and the value he places on respect.

Tai chi chuan stylist Richard Clear will present a seminar in Peoria, Ill., from August 5-7, leading workshops, private lessons and holding free practice sessions. For more information, check out the Mr. Clear’s Combat Tai Chi website.

Free sessions

Friday, Aug. 5 – 6-9 p.m. – Intro to combat tai chi & healing. Dream Center Peoria.

Sunday, Aug. 7 – 4-7 p.m. – Practice with Q&A.

Combat tai chi workshop

Saturday, Aug. 6 – 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dream Center Peoria. $100.

Tai chi healing workshop

Saturday, Aug. 6 – 6-8:30 p.m. Dream Center Peoria. $45.

Private lessons

Mr. Clear will be offering six sessions of private lessons of combat tai chi, healing, silat and more at $200 per hour. The private lessons can be split between four people, splitting the cost to $50 per person.

Saturday, Aug. 6 – 2:30-4:30 p.m. Dream Center Peoria.

Sunday, Aug. 7 – 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Contemporary Art Center.

Richard Clear - combat tai chi seminar in Peoria - August 2011

Adam Bockler

Sensei Adam Bockler is a 2nd-degree black belt in karate and the owner of Metamora Martial Arts. He's been in the martial arts since 2003, and has received instruction in tai chi chuan, Hsing-i chuan, judo, tae kwon do and XMA. Sensei Bockler was inducted into the 2014 USA Martial Arts Hall of Fame as Karate Black Belt of the Year. He is the communications manager for Float Mobile Learning.
